• Day 1: Arrival Kochi, transfer to the Hotel

 

• Day 2:  Visit the city of Kochi. The St. Francis Church, the oldest Church built by Europeans India, the Mattancherry Palace, the chin. Fishingnets and the Synygoge. In the evening you will see a Traditional Karthakali dance Performance.

 

• Day 3: You spend 2 nights in Mararikulam direct on the beach.      These days are perfect for making soul flops.

 

• Day 4: Relax on the wide sandy beach

 

• Day 5: Today you will drive to Alleppey. You will stay overnight at the idyllic Backwaters on a beautiful Houseboat.

 

• Day 6: It's off to Varkala. Visitation of the god Vishnu consecrated Janardana-Swami Temple from the 13th. In the afternoon you can relax at the beach.

 

• Day 7: The day is in your leisure time. Enjoy the beach or go through the village. 

 

• Day 8: Kanyakumari is the southern point of India. you will visit the very famous church in India "Our Lady of Ransom". The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is one of the finest examples of human architecture in South India. Located on a rocky island you can reach it with a boat. Kanyakumari is also famous for its sunrise.

 

• Day 9: Today we go to Madurai with a stop at the jasmine market. Afterwards will be a tour through the Tirumalai Nayak Palace. You will be driven by a Riksha across Madurai with a stop at the banana market and at the end of the day you will see a traditional ceremony in the Meenakshi Temple.

• Day 10: From Madurai to Chettinadu -  You will get a ride with bullock cart through the picturesque and sleepy Chettinad, what is known for its mansions from the 19th century.

 

• Day 11:  Thanjavur is famous for the Brihadishvara Temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The building is considered the pinnacle of medieval architecture and is one of three "Great Temples of the Chola Dynasty" a UNESCO World culture Heritage.

 

• Day 12: Pondycherry. The riksha-ride through the French Quarter of Pondycherry.  You will visit the Basilica of Sacred Heart, the Ganesha Temple and the Sri Aurobindo House.

 

• Day 13: On your way to Mahabalipuram there will be Auroville, the model city for an utopian living, and Consciousness experiment. 

 

• Day 14: Mahabalipuram - Directly at the beach is the Sea-Shore-Temple(8th century). It is one the oldest freestanding Stonetemple of South India. You will visit the Five Rathas, a group of five monolithic temples. The descent of Ganga (maybe the biggest) Rock relief of the world. The "Butterball Krishnas", a giant Rockball lying on a slope.
